I am Dalena Fenwick, a farm girl from Reivilo in the Northern Cape.
After I completed my schooling, I went to study in Bloemfontein at the University of the Free State where I obtained a B.Com HED degree, majoring in Mathematics and Accountancy and afterwards became a high school teacher for 16 years until my first child was born.

I am happily married to Danie, who was my first love from school days; we married 8 years later in 1980 and now have three lovely children. Xander, our eldest, obtained a B.Sc (Hons) from UCT and is now practicing as a Professional Valuer in Cape Town. Stephné is practicing Dentistry in Komga, after obtaining her degree from Stellenbosch University. Neels is the farmer in the family and is currently studying at Grootfontein Agricultural College in Middelburg. We are a very close-knit family who enjoy doing things together and I cherish the very fond memories of all the exotic holidays we have had together as a family.

For our very first property purchase in Gonubie, my husband and I bought a sea front plot in Oceanway in Gonubie in 1982 for a mere R6 500-00! We built ourselves a modus home, which we extended over the years as our needs changed and our family expanded.

We love Gonubie for its natural beauty, mild weather, wonderful mixture of people and the casual, holiday-type way of life. My husband and I have easily grown passionate about Gonubie and its people and for this reason have chosen not to expand into other areas of East London.
